FlagPlayLab is the sideline app for volunteer flag football coaches, 4v4 to 8v8. It takes the play designer and the playbook tools from this site and adds what you need on game day: one-tap play calling, a live game notification and fair play time.

What only the app does

Call plays without opening a menu

On the sideline you have seconds between downs. One tap on the play number, and the down and the clock stay in view.

  • Android: On Google Play now An ongoing notification shows the down, the clock, the score and the last call, with Next down in the notification shade. This is a Pro feature.
  • iPhone and iPad: On the App Store now A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows the down, the clock, the score and the last call, with Next down; Siri and Shortcuts can call Next down and Call a play. This is a Pro feature.

Your play calls on your wrist

Keep the phone in your pocket and the game moving.

  • iPhone and iPad: On the App Store now The Apple Watch app calls a play with a tap and tracks downs, series, timeouts and the game clock, with a tap on the wrist at two minutes left and when the clock runs out. Calling plays from the watch is Pro; the list is read-only in the free version.

Fair play time, counted for you

Nobody should have to remember who sat out the last series.

A scaled-down printout will not fit the window of a wrist coach.

Each player sees only their routes

Handing out the whole playbook confuses a ten-year-old.

A play is only good if every player can see it move.

What the app does

  • Works offline. No account, no ads. Your plays stay on your device (privacy policy). Phones and tablets, 44 languages.

Free and Pro

The app is free to download. Pro adds the live game notification and Live Activity, Apple Watch play calling, the parent report, 3-window and custom wristbands, player route cards, GIF export, unlimited teams and more. It is sold monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase through the App Store or Google Play.
